The Spirit Series is a collection of five epic fantasy novels, each around 100,000 - 200,000 words, and set in the world of Eathcai. They novels are mostly stand alone stories set in different parts of the world but with loose ties to one another. However the last one brings all the previous books together and wraps the series. The novels are:

The races of Eathcai pledge themselves to one of two Spirits, the Goddess Ariadne or the God Khalid. Ariadne asks of her followers to be gracious and respectful to one another, not to harm anyone and to do what's best for the good of everyone. Khalid teachings are of caring only for yourself, striving for power and becoming the best you can be.
Children of Ariadne believe Khalid's followers to be egocentric, evil megalomaniacs. Children of Khalid believe Ariadne's followers to be weak, powerless and fearful individuals.
Never in the history of Eathcai have the followers of the two Spirits accepted each other and barring a few cities and towns, they have never lived side by side. Though not at war, they are neither at peace and with fractions within the followers fighting each other it seems unlikely that they will ever be.
Ariadne moulded the four spirits, Ifre, Wrate, Ari and Tareh, who then began creating the races that would be followers of Ariadne. Khalid did the same. As time passed, Ariadne and Khalid faded into Eathcai and could only be communicated with by the remaining Spirits. But now, with the events of The Dark Witch, a being is using the hatred and fear between the followers to start a war that will destory one of the religions forever. In The Amber Land, what will be the largest and most devastating war in the history of Eathcai begins.
The first in the series. Follows Aryana, a dark witch who escapes imprisonment and who seeks only her freedom but becomes embroiled in an upcoming war with Necrom.
The spirit of this book is Ifre, the fire spirit.

(Author's Secret: This is the book that spawned The Spirit Series. Aryana was originally going to appear in each book but with plot changes this will no longer be happening.)
The second in the series. A reaper uses ancient magic to bind the four spirits into stones giving him the power equal to the gods. The sons and daughters of a great warrior defeated in battle by the reaper take it upon themselves to free the spirits.
The spirit of this book is Wrate, the water spirit.
Progress: Had outlined the book but because of change in The Dark Witch the outline won't work. I can still use the basic premise but it'll have to be tweaked. Not sure how yet. Aim is 100,000 words.
(Author's Secret: Most of the characters in this books are loosely based on friends and family. Was also previously titled The Four Stones.)
The third book in the series. The ruler of one of Eathcai's mightiest armies has many secrets. One being that hidden in a tower are sisters, both sorceresses, who each bear a jeweled ring. The jewels belonging to the lost spirits and containing immense power. Suspecting the sister's also know where the legendary two jewels are the ruler keeps them hostage. But his actions awaken a creature long thought dead.
The spirit of this book is Ari, the air spirit.
Progress: Again, changes in The Dark Witch means I have to tweak the original plot.
(Author's Secret: The characters and some of the plot in this book where all originally from a science fiction story inspired from Final Fantasy VII wrote years and years ago. I found the old story when I began this and thought some of the ideas where still good so I rewrote them for a fantasy novel. The main character's name 'Zearo' is my favourite guy name I've made up.)
The fourth book in the series. !?!
The spirit of this book is Tareh, the earth spirit.
Progress: I had a lot planned out before, Kingdom cursed, twin teenagers must break curse, evil Kingdom with evil Queen trying to stop them. Then I realised it was crap. Rewrote it but then changes with The Dark Witch means plot no longer makes sense. Am not sure at the moment whether to try again with the plot or scrap it and try something new.
(Author's Secret: I have no idea what to do with this at the moment. However I did like the evil Queen Glorianna.)
The fifth and final book in the series. As the sky of the northen lands changes to amber, the powerful entity no one believed could have existed makes his presence know. Races and foreign lands must join together in order to defeat the threat that will consume them all. Trapped in the amber land is Ziva and her old lover,
The spirit of this series is ...
Progress: This novel is going to be about 200,000 words but split into two. Half Ziva story and half everyone else's story. Have scenes here and there planned but nothing overall. I know exactly how it's going to end, word for word in a few places, and I am really excited about the ending. I love it and I think it works perfectly. Can't wait to write it.
(Author's Secret: Most of the characters of the first four novels will turn up in this, at least the ones who survive their books, but I don't know the ones I'm going to kill off this time around.)
